Society Screenings
Do you want to screen a film?
So you are a president and you want to put on a film for your society... Well to do this legally, you must purchase a license to show any commercial film. You cannot simply just bring in a DVD to a lecture theatre and show the film. You could face a hefty fine and even time in prison...
Ok, enough of the scare mongering! So how do you get hold of a license? Well there are two companies that can license a film for a group screening, these are FilmBank and the Motion Picture Licensing Company. Prices for both start at around £80 for a single screening of a film. Kinda sucks right? Luckily, there is a much cheaper and better way to do it!
