Ticket Types

There are three types of tickets availible for the Union Cinema. These are: Year Passes, Season Passes & Single Tickets.

year pass

Year Passes

Year passes get you into every single film that we show. You don't need to bother queueing at the box office, simply show your card at the doors! Union Films year passes are the cheapest way to watch films ever with over 80 films for just £30!

season pass

Season Passes

Season passes get you into every film in a season. Again, you don't need to bother queueing at the box office, simply show your card at the doors. Union Films has two seasons per year, the Autumn Season and the Main Season. Both cost just £15.

Single Tickets

Single tickets cost jsut £2 per film which makes Union Films the cheapest Cinema in Southampton. And its convenient, being located right on campus! You can even bring friends who don't go to Southampton University along, guest tickets cost just £2.50!

General Terms and Conditions

  1. All films are shown in the Uniplex.
  2. NO SMOKING is allowed in the Uniplex.
  3. No glass or crockery is allowed in the Uniplex.
  4. Once the fire limit of the Uniplex has been reached, there can be no further entry.
  5. To conform to fire regulations, DO NOT obstruct the aisles.
  6. There is no priority system for any show.
  7. While we make every attempt to ensure that information is accurate at time of going to press, Union Films reserves the right to change the programme without notice.
  8. Full terms and conditions are available on request from the Union Films Office.
  9. Entry is only with appropriate Union Films ticket for the film (or a valid season / annual pass), no other ticket type will be valid.

Terms and Conditions for Single Tickets

  1. Single tickets are availible from the Box Office, half an hour before the film is due to start.
  2. Single tickets can be bought one week in advance.
  3. Except where General Terms 4 applies, A single ticket allows one person entry to the performance for which it was issued.
  4. Single tickets may not be reused.
  5. Single tickets will not be sold to non-members of the student union.

Terms and Conditions for Season / Year Passes

  1. Season / Year passes are only valid when presented with a Union Card, or Associate Membership card with further proof of identity.
  2. Season / Year passes are NON-TRANSFERABLE.
  3. Except where General Terms 4 applies, season / year tpasses allow the holder entry ONCE to each film.
  4. Once the fire limit of the Uniplex has been reached, there can be no further entry.
  5. Season tickets are only valid for Union Films films that are advertised as being in the season for which the ticket is valid.
  6. Year passes are only valid for Union Films films that are advertised as being in the year for which the ticket is valid.
  7. Season / Year passes remain the property of Union Films and may be confiscated at any time for infringement of the above rules.
  • Season ticket holders have to be members of the Union; either full student membership or Associate Membership of the Union. Season tickets will not be sold to non-members. This includes University staff.
  • Union membership is available from General Office, Level 2 of the Union, during normal office hours.
  • If a ticket holder's ticket / wallet has been lost, then some form of proof of identification needs to be brought to be presented at the office for verification and entry / replacement ticket.
  • Guest Tickets are availible to non union members and cost £2.50 per film.

Terms and Conditions for Guest Tickets

  1. A guest ticket is not valid on its own; a member of the student union, with appropriate ticket, MUST accompany the guest to the showing.
  2. Please note that there is no priority system for entry to the cinema.
  3. A guest ticket is only valid for entry to the performance for which it was issued.
  4. These terms and conditions are in addition to the general terms and conditions which are available on request.
